AMO's Gas Tax Reporting Module

January 20, 2020 - Outputs and outcomes

We expanded the list of output indicators last month to better reflect the scope of eligible federal Gas Tax investments. Outcome indicators are unchanged. Please familiarize yourself with the new set of output indicators when you have a moment.

We understand that the data required to report these indicators is often collected by your colleagues (e.g., project managers) - and that these colleagues do not have access to this site. We therefore created an Excel workbook that you can share with your colleagues to collect output and outcome data. Use of this workbook is optional. Let us know if you have any questions.

January 4, 2020 - Reporting Deadline

It's that time of the year again!

Please submit your annual report on the use of federal Gas Tax funds by March 31, 2021. Review our Guide to the Reporting Module for guidance and step-by-step instructions.

Mapping Your Projects

Have you seen our project map yet?

All federal Gas Tax investments reported to AMO are mapped. We strongly encourage you to take a moment to explore the map if you haven't already.

Note that each project is mapped to a single location - including projects that affect multiple assets (e.g., roadwork occurring across a municipality) and projects that do not have a clearly-defined location (e.g., capacity-building investments in asset management systems). Please review the section on mapping projects in the Guide to the Reporting Module to ensure that your projects are appropriately mapped.

Signage Requirements

Remember to post signs 30 days prior to construction – and let us know when signs are up. Signs should be posted for all projects receiving $100,000 or more from the Fund, unless projects are located in areas inaccessible to the public or are less than seven days in length.

See our FAQs and Guide to the Reporting Module for more guidance. See the Communications section of the Community Page for sign templates.

Certificates of Insurance

Upload your certificate of insurance using the "Insurance" link in your project portfolio. Certificates can only be uploaded for the current reporting year; upload certificates for the next reporting year after closing the current reporting year.
